Youth Environmental Entrepreneurship Program (YEEP)
Young people aren’t the future of Tanzania’s green economy. They are its present.
YEEP is Grina Foundation’s programme for young environmental entrepreneurs in Tanzania. It helps young people aged 15 to 35 who run startups, small businesses and micro businesses build their skills, become investment-ready and reach funding.
Why YEEP matters.
Tanzania is a young country. The 2022 Census counted about 21.3 million people aged 15 to 35, representing 34.5% of the population.
Young entrepreneurs bring the energy and ideas that Tanzania’s green economy needs, in clean energy, waste, mobility, farming and nature. But they often lack the networks, track record and finance-ready structure funders look for. YEEP closes that gap, so green solutions built by young people reach more communities and create more jobs.

- Development partners and donors: fund a cohort, a masterclass series or a Deal Room.

- Universities, youth organizations and technical partners: deliver mentorship, training and specialist sessions.
